To commemorate 2018 Engineering Week Lesotho Association of Engineers (LAE) held a conference at Lerotholi Polytechnic and National University of Lesotho. On the 15th and 16thOctober 2018 the conference was hosted by Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) while National University of Lesotho (NUL) hosted it on the 17th and 18th October 2018.
LAE was born in the early 80’s butreported to be in its infant’s stage. Currently the association aims at engaging youth as they are future engineers.Thus an invitation was extended to LP students and pupils from neighboring high schools. Amongst conference delegates were Deputy Minister of Education (MoET),representatives from Engineer Council of South Africa (ECSA), engineers from South Africa and Lesotho as well as students. Projects made by LP students were exhibited for public viewing.
